What We're Made For

Sooo remember that post about a week ago where I talked about locking myself in a closet for 5 hours to force a song out? Well, it seems that psychotic discipline has paid off.

The song is complete! And although you may think it's slightly cheesy, I couldn't be prouder with the finished product. It's called "What We're Made For", and I think the message is fairly relevant right now. Actually, I'm pretty sure it's always relevant. When you're down in the dumps about the way people treat other people, you should give this song a listen.

If you'd like a FREE download (yeah, free) of the song, you can get it here: "What We're Made For"

This song is for my new friend, Sam, who so graciously donated to my Kickstarter project back in March. If you want to hear her amazing story and see me play it live, watch it here:

"What We're Made For"

People can be crazy
Yes, it's true
Everywhere, there's suffering
People struggling
People used

But I don't know if you've seen it

I don't know if you've seen what people do
When you need them most
They can surprise you

'Cause everyone will one day lose something

And no one's saved from all the pain
that comes with true living
I don't know if you know it
I don't know if you know what people bring
When you need them most
They'll give you everything

Like love

When your heart needs the warmth
And steady trust
When yours is broken, tired, and torn
When you've had enough
Don't you know
that people gather where it hurts?
That's what we're made for

People are exactly what you need

Fill up all your emptiness with words and warm bodies
Throw away all the pills
and take a dose of a visitor for free
Your lonely heart is waiting

For love

when your heart needs the warmth
And steady trust
When yours is broken, tired, and torn
When you've had enough
Don't you know
that people gather where it hurts?
That's what we're made for

Like love

When your heart needs the warmth
And steady trust
When yours is broken, tired, and torn
When you've had enough
Don't you know
that people gather where it hurts?
That's what we're made for
That's what we're made for
